The flat was VERY clean and well maintained. There were plenty of linens, towels and pillows. I was 34 weeks pregnant at the time and found the bed to be quite comfortable. Although the couch was a little difficult to get up from as it's rather low (so common in Europe!). We were traveling with small children, ages 2 and 4, and the bed arrangements and bathtub were great.
We eat-in a lot as it's more trouble to go to a restaurant with such small kids. So we wished the kitchen was more substantial and the refrigerator were large. It really is only what you see in the photo and dishes and plates and food items cannot be stored in the kitchen. That being said, we made due and were very happy with our stay.
The local area is full of wonderful shopping and is very close to the subway and to Villa Borghese. While we didn't shop at all, it was nice to ride quad bicycles with our children and let them run around. The area is very safe, but watch for pick pockets throughout Rome, someone stole my sister's phone from the stroller while she was tying my son's shoe.
They flat is up 2 flights of stairs, so consider that if you have limited mobility. But be sure to open the windows and listen to the music coming from the St. Cecilia's musical conservatory which is opposite the flat. It was fitting to hear such loveliness carried on the breeze.
